postcard from Goblin Valley State Park

Our little hike into the Valley of the Goblins was captured with the Polaroid and Diana cameras (the latter not developed yet) as well as by Cameron tinkering with the color settings in-camera on his handy digital Canon. Sort of an appropriate lens to view an other-worldly landscape, no?

We camped in the park, but were driven by a ferocious wind storm from here (imagine it with a tent pitched):

to here:

The Yaris saves the day and proves its utility once again. It really was quite cozy. Three-quarters of the groups at the camprground packed up camp in the middle of the night and fled...to where, exactly? Your guess is as good as mine. This made for a rather serene morning as those who'd made it through the night crawled out of their caves, triumphant, and greeted each other. At least one pack of campers opted to sleep on the floors of the bathrooms/showers. Innovation.

And just some really flawless packaging that I enjoyed:
